Our Client was fed up with their kitchen the way it was for two reasons, firstly it was dated and they wanted a complete kitchen remodel. Secondly, they were big fans of entertaining their friends and family, however the small kitchen restricted the conversation whilst food was being prepared and was often left talking to friends who were standing at the kitchen door way. The removal of the load bearing wall and installation of structural steel beam between the dining room and kitchen achieved a couple of things. Firstly it created and open plan kitchen/dining area which made it easier for the host to have guests round to entertain and socialise at the same time as preparing food and/or drinks. The removal of the load bearing wall also opened up more space to fit a larger and more comfortable brand new kitchen with the design the client wanted with ample work top space and storage.
