Property Renovation: Worcester Park, Surrey (KT4)

Project Type: Structural Renovation, Damp Remediation & Bespoke Fit-Out

We took this incredibly run-down, damp-ridden property in Worcester Park and stripped it back to the bones. Here is how our South London team transformed it into a structurally sound, beautifully finished family home.

Key Project Phases

  • Damp Remediation & New Floors

The original ground floor timber joists were completely destroyed by rot and subfloor damp. We excavated the area, built new brick dwarf walls to maximize airflow, laid robust damp proofing, and installed brand-new, treated timber joists.

  • Structural Steel Work

We safely removed the redundant chimney breasts throughout the entire property by installing heavy-duty structural steel beams within the first-floor bedroom to securely redirect the building's load. This precise structural alteration completely eliminated wasted square footage, perfectly prepping the home for its new, open-plan layout while ensuring full building regulations compliance.

  • Bespoke Joinery & Smart Space

We utilized the dead space beneath the staircase by installing a new ground-floor cloakroom (W/C) alongside custom-built, Shaker-style storage doors.

  • Premium Finishes

After over-skimming the entire house with fresh plaster, we installed a stunning bespoke kitchen, a modern bathroom, and laid premium hardwood flooring through the hallway and living room.
